Ever wondered what a story would be like without characters? Can you imagine having a life without a form to convey it? Honestly, what good is a story, if not for a person? If there were no characters, would a story ever exist? I’ll stop with the rhetorics and cut to the chase. Our life is a story and we are characters, living it, as we speak.
Our life is full of characters. Everyone around, including ourselves is a character, playing a role, completing a journey and enduring a conflict of their own. The upside of living a character is that we get to create our own story, no matter what it is, we still have a hook onto the narrative arc.
Typically characters are written to inherit little traits when they are brought to this world (a setting). As characters, we are set to play a given role, co- existing with the lives of others (also characters) and completing objectives, along the way of which we face some conflicts which consequently causes us to evolve and have objectives.
Sometimes however, when our traits are not good enough to complete our objectives ,the conflict perpetuates, we change our personality and way of going about things, which is like living someone else until we succeed.
